Stylish and wearable Autumn boots

I’ve returned from a lovely week in sunny Turkey to see that Autumn has well and truly arrived. My summer clothes were unpacked and then packed straight back up again which means that boot season is here!

With most of last winter spent in lockdown, wearing wellies and slippers on rotation (just me?), you’re probably in the market for a new pair of stylish boots to take you out and about again.

Boots are an Autumn wardrobe essential. Find the right pair and they look fabulous with dresses, jeans and skirts so they are suitable whether you are working from home or back in the office. There’s a huge array of styles on the high street so you’ll find a pair to suit you whatever your lifestyle, shape or budget.

Here’s my run down of the styles you need to know:-

Elasticated boots

These short ankle boots are ideal if you are petite as they don’t sit too high on the leg. There are lots of versions of these boots around from Chelsea boots to ‘sock tops’ so take the time to find a pair that’s right for your shape.

Elasticated ankle boots – Zara

Chunky long boots

This style is a relative newbie on the block. They are ideal if you want to keep your legs warm when wearing dresses and skirts! The fit of these tend to be wider than most long boots so they are great if you have wide calves.

Knee length boots – Mango

Cowboy boots

This boot style never seem to date and continues to be popular season after season. They work very well with the wide leg trousers and flares which massively on trend this season.

Cowboy boots – Massimo Dutti

Square toes

This is another style that looks great with wide leg trousers. This gorgeous pair of boots have a refined square toe but if you’re looking for something more ‘out there’ then check out the ones in Miista.

Stitch detail boots – LK Bennett

Chain details

These ankle boots will add a touch of glamour to any outfit. Just ensure you have your trousers and jeans at the correct length to show them off properly.

Lovechain Chelsea boots – Russell and Bromley

Track soles

This style exploded last season and is still all over the high street this year. It’s ideal if you have a casual office dress code and perfect for stomping around in at the weekend too!

Track sole ankle boots – H&M
