The style that will revive your summer wardrobe.
It feels like a good time to highlight some of the gorgeous sandals around as we take our first tentative steps out of lockdown. Every wardrobe needs a pair of smart sandals and that doesn’t include Havianas and Birkenstocks, I’m afraid.
Smart sandals are great for informal social occasions, when you need something that elevates your outfit but you don’t want to look too dressed up. I’ve chosen flat styles as, let’s face it, heels are not going to work for garden drinks and park trips.
I’m aware that these are tough times so rather than my usual suggestions across the price points, I have focused on some excellent value for money styles that cost less than £50. In fact, most of them are under £30!

These sandals are real leather and an absolute bargain. They are not unlike the Ancient Greek styles but a fraction of the price!

These mules will go with everything and are so comfortable to wear. I love the square toe and quilting detail.
Stradivarius – £19.99
Metallic sandals are perfect for adding a touch of glamour to any daytime outfit. They are brilliantly versatile too and will work with any colours.
Zara – £29.99
These are a very flattering shape at the front which elongates legs. They are a great style if you’re slightly heavy in the ankle and legs.
Mango – £49.99
The flatform is the perfect style if you like the height of a heel but without the discomfort. These are ideal for adding a colour pop to any outfit!
