Top 5 plain t-shirts and why you need one.

Why Marie Kondo is wrong.

Don’t get me wrong, I am a big fan of Marie Kondo. I do believe that getting rid of superfluous clutter is a good thing and my underwear drawer has been transformed thanks to her folding method. The one thing I don’t agree with though is that every single thing in your wardrobe will spark joy.

What do I mean? Well, there are some key items you need to create outfits that are unlikely to fill your heart with joy. I’m thinking about the flesh colour seam free bra and that really useful plain jersey t-shirts that looks great with everything. These pieces are crucial and often overlooked but if they are lacking in your wardrobe you’ll struggle to pull outfits together.

Also, sometimes we love styles that just don’t work for our lifestyle. I’m thinking of the beautiful silk dress that gets left in the wardrobe because it’s too smart and not very comfortable now you’re spending more time at home.

Decluttering on its own is not enough if you want to get the maximum use out of your wardrobe. If you want to create a stylish wardrobe that works for your lifestyle you need to carefully consider what you put in there and ensure it works for your lifestyle.

In my online course ‘Halve your wardrobe and double your outfits’ I show you how to plan and create a stylish wardrobe that’s tailored to your lifestyle. Heads up, the early bird offer finishes tonight June 22nd at midnight. Click here for more details and to secure your place.
